The Can Roig i Torres Municipal Music School in Santa Coloma de Gramenet (Barcelonès) will celebrate its 40 years of life with 40 concerts . These recitals, performed by the bulk of the students and their teachers, will be spread over various parts of the city, within the 3rd Exhibition ‘Music & Roig’ , “thus culminating its successful training career in the center,” they point out from the Colomense City Council.
Thus, from June 14 to 21, the concerts will resound in the Auditorium and patio of Can Roig i Torres , in the school lobby and in the old concert hall (classroom 11), but also in: the library, the Can Peixauet library, the Fund library, the Singuerlin library, the Balldovina Tower Museum, the Can Sisteré Cultural Center, the Main Church and the Plaza de la Vila, thus opening the range to the general public of the city.

Previously, ten classical music concerts were programmed in the Auditorium’s stable season with “great attendance”, starring former students of the school, who are currently “pursuing professional careers in various musical centers around the world” , they affirm from the consistory.
The teachers put their grain of sand into the Can Roig i Torres Cycle in concert and, now, Santa Coloma begins the 3rd Sample with more than 30 concerts by soloists, instrumental groups and school choirs. Thus, the City Council also reminds that this popular celebration will have limited capacity and “all appropriate security measures .”
